Car Co-op NewsNew ICBC driving standards To meet requirements for our vehicle insurance through ICBC, two changes have been made to The Car Co-op's Member Manual.
Meeting these driving standards across our membership is meant to keep down the cost of our insurance, and will hopefully also reduce the need for vehicle repairs. Questions or concerns about these new standards? Please get in touch with us through email at . And as the village grows, so will the number of Co-op vehicles within the community. The Tyee recently published a comprehensive article about the site. Our millionth booking We don't mean to brag, but this is something worth talking about! In May 2010, The Car Co-op had its one millionth booking. As captured by Derek Moscato of Metro Vancouver: Congratulations to Vancouver's Co-operative Auto Network, the home grown car-sharing organization that recently celebrated an important milestone: Its one-millionth vehicle booking. And in an appropriate twist, the booking was made by none other than Greenpeace Canada. Yes, it's true; Greenpeace driver Jessica was the auspicious member. You can read the full story here. |
