What does it cost to join?

To become a DepositFree driver with The Car Co-op, an individual must pay a one-time, non-refundable $20 registration fee, and a $50 Annual Fee.

How much does it cost to use a car?

As of March 1, 2010, DepositFree usage charges are:

• $7.50 per hour, 24 hours per day (to a maximum of $60 daily).
• 150 kilometres included per day or portion.
• Additional kilometres cost 33¢ each.

Keep in mind — all insurance, fuel, cleaning, maintenance, BCAA Membership, plus permanent & permit parking are included in the rate plans.  And all of our drivers have access to a 15% transit pass discount through The Car Co-op.
