Scrap-It Program

B.C.'s Scrap-It Program offers incentive to Metro Vancouverites to stop their "dirty driving" habits and scrap their polluting cars in exchange for, among other things, a credit with The Car Co-op.  (Please see the Scrap-It site for the exact amount.)

An individual who scraps their car can either become a Car Co-op member or open a DepositFree account with us.  And all of our drivers have access to a 15% transit pass discount through The Car Co-op.

To get the credit, you must first provide us a letter of authorization from the Scrap-It Program.  Whether you choose to become a Car Co-op member or a DepositFree client, the Scrap-It credit will be applied to your account as a substantial usage credit that cannot be cashed out.

The registration fee for either option is $20; this can be paid by cash, credit card, or direct debit.

In either case, a Scrap-It driving credit gets you a lot of mileage with our Co-op cars!
